Crafted Details
Aging Room built its reputation on small-batch, meticulously blended cigars, and the Quattro Nicaragua is among its most respected lines. The Espressivo, a box-pressed 5″ × 50 Robusto, is named for the espresso note that runs through its core, and it earns the name.
Every leaf is Nicaraguan, and the cigars are rolled at the AJ Fernandez factory in Estelí, a partnership that pairs Boutique Blends’ blending with AJ Fernandez’s construction. The wrapper is toothy and lightly oiled, the box press clean and firm, the burn reliable.
The cold draw is sweet, with hints of plum and fig. Once lit, dark chocolate leads, joined by almond and a deepening espresso note that becomes the dominant character through the middle and final thirds. It is a full-flavoured, satisfying smoke that rewards attention.
A single box-pressed Robusto, handmade in Nicaragua. Best enjoyed slowly, after a meal, with something dark in the glass.
