Crafted Details
The Montecristo Double Edmundo is an evolution of the brand’s celebrated Edmundo format — a Robusto Extra that extends the classic 5 1/4″ × 52 into a more commanding 6 1/8″ × 50. The additional length and substantial ring gauge create a longer, more developed smoke that builds deliberately and pays off in the final third with remarkable depth.
This is a cigar designed for occasions: the significant dinner, the long evening, the milestone worth marking. At 90 minutes, it does not rush. The first third opens with clean coffee and dry cedar; the mid-section develops dark chocolate, leather and a rich earthiness; the final third rewards patience with a long, composed finish carrying pepper, cocoa and a satisfying warmth.
Rolled at the H. Upmann factory in Havana using Vuelta Abajo leaf, the Double Edmundo carries the same production precision as the rest of the Montecristo core range. The wrapper is a beautifully applied Colorado, firm to the touch, with the characteristic Montecristo band that has been unchanged for decades.
Frequently Asked
Common Questions
What Is The Difference Between The Edmundo And The Double Edmundo?
The Edmundo Is 5 1/4" × 52 (~50 Minutes). The Double Edmundo Is 6 1/8" × 50 — Slightly Longer, Slightly Thinner, And Approximately 90 Minutes. The Double Produces A More Gradual Flavour Development.
Is The Double Edmundo Too Strong For Regular Smoking?
Its Medium-full Strength Means It Is Best Appreciated At A Slow Pace On Occasions Rather Than As A Daily Smoke. It Is Not Harsh — But Its Length And Body Demand Full Attention.
Can I Age The Double Edmundo At Home?
Yes — And It Is Recommended. The Dark Chocolate And Pepper Notes Integrate Beautifully With 12–18 Months Of Rest At Stable Humidity. Use A Cedar-lined Humidor With A Calibrated Hygrometer.
