The Montecristo No. 3 is the most classic expression of the Montecristo range — a 5 1/2″ × 42 Corona that has been in continuous production since the brand’s founding in 1935. Where the No. 2 is the showpiece, the No. 3 is the working cigar: consistent, reliable and deeply satisfying in a format that asks for nothing more than an hour of unhurried attention.

The Corona vitola suits the Montecristo blend particularly well. At 42 ring gauge, the leaf construction keeps the burn cool and the draw clean, producing a more refined expression of the brand’s signature coffee-and-cedar profile than the thicker ring gauges allow. The first third opens with roasted coffee and dry cedar; the mid-section adds roasted almonds and a light chocolate note; the close is warm and dry with a gentle pepper finish.

Rolled at the H. Upmann factory in Havana, the No. 3 carries the same production standards as the rest of the range.
