The Cohiba Siglo II belongs to the prestigious Linea 1492 — a range introduced in 1992 to mark the 500th anniversary of Columbus’s voyage to the Americas. Where the Linea Clasica leans into richness and power, the Linea 1492 is characterised by elegance, balance and a more measured strength profile.

In the 5 1/8″ × 42 Mareva format, the Siglo II is the range’s most approachable vitola — slender enough for a mid-afternoon break, substantive enough to satisfy a seasoned palate. The wrapper is a beautiful Colorado Claro, silky to the touch and impeccably applied. Construction is characteristically tight with a draw that opens cleanly.

The flavour profile opens with polished cedar and a faint creaminess, evolving through the mid-section into roasted nuts and light coffee. The finish is clean and dry with a whisper of white pepper. It is an intellectual rather than a physical smoke — precise, composed, and impossible to rush.
